VOLUNTEER with Friends of the Dillon Ranger District

Project work: Tread improvements to the Shrine Ridge Trail.  Moderate work.  Hiking distance 2-4 miles.

Volunteer Waiver 

Please be prepared with the following:

• work gloves if you have them
• Work or hiking boots (NO sandals, flip flops or minimalist shoes)
• Long pants
• Long-sleeved shirt
• Warm layers
• Rain gear
• Hat
• Sunglasses (eye protection)
• Sunscreen
• Insect repellent
• Allergy medications
• Day pack
• snacks/lunch
• PLEASE bring enough drinking water (at least 2 liters per person)

AGE REQUIREMENTS

• Ages 6-15 need to be accompanied by an adult.
• Ages 16-18 must have parental consent via the FDRD waiver to attend.

REMINDERS

• Pets are not permitted
• Alcohol/drugs/Smoking on any project is prohibited

MEETING LOCATION: Shrine Ridge parking area (39.546176, -106.241690)

Driving Directions: From Silverthorne take I-70 West towards Vail Pass. Take exit 190 to Vail Pass, cross the overpass and continue straight onto Shrine Pass Road. Continue straight for 2.5 miles. The parking area will be on your left at the bathrooms.
